On February 1st two great opponents met on the ring: 63-stairs handrail from Ustron, Poland against our BrO from a couple of weeks back Wojtek Pawlusiak.
The first round of this exhibition match, ended up in a tie as after completing 75% of the handrail’s length Wojtek injured himself.

Wojtek Pawlusiak a.k.a. Gniazdo („nest” in polish) proved his skills many times. After three seasons of riding on snowboard he took part in Red Bull Drive By Tour two times and won many competitions in Europe. When in 2006 polish turf had been invaded by such jibbing stars as Max Legend and Louie Vito, Gniazdo announced that from now on he will focus on heavy street rails. Unfortunately 63-stairs handrail from Ustron was able to defend itself against snowboarding, but we can be sure that Wojtek won’t give this one up without a fight. Huge speed and overload at the end of the rail injured Wojtek’s knee muscle.

Reaching that far is great achievement, but for Gniazdo it’s not enough: “This is just the beginning. Right now I’m waiting to be back on board and settle the score with that rail” said Wojtek leaving the ring.

We wish all the best to Wojtek and look forward to the next round!
