Finally the time has come – with the snowboard contest on Saturday 17th April, the Spring Classics 2010 have officially begun and nothing more stands in the way to enjoy the massive park at the Kaunertal till mid of May.

Alongside hundreds of excited riders, who enjoyed the perfectly shaped park, lots of highly motivated shredder gathered to the glacier to participate in the snowboard contest. With a total snow depth of 180 cm it was no problem for the riders to rock the park by showing their hottest tricks at the end of the winter. Their effort was not only rewarded with cool prizes but also with sun and blue bird – THE recipe for hitting the kicker double combo with drive and ease!

After training together the snowboarders were challenged first to impress the judges with their riding, which they definitely did by showing smooth FS 720 melon, Rippey Flips, FS 720 Rodeos and more. From beginning on Helbock Joe and Susanne Bednarik made an outstanding performance and therefore grabbed the title Spring Classics Masters with their steady show.
