Nitro Snowboards 2013 Collection
Nitro snowboards has a long history of producing quality snowboards. Born in 1990, Nitro may have just reached legal drinking age, but their company has an established track record of producing quality snowboard gear for men and women. For 2013 snowboard collection they are coming with some serious new technologies. Check what they were cooking in their labs…
What is different for 2013? New ideas, new materials, new technology?
- New Whiplash Core Profile – reduced thickness between the inserts with added meat outside your
feet for max ollie power. - New Hotwing Camber – Nitro’s latest evolution of the Gullwing concept: The new Hotwing camber offers a loose ride combined with lots of pop. The mellower Zero Camber lines in the tip and tail area blend into a Gullwing camber in the board’s center, making the contact points more forgiving yet responsive for those controlled butter tricks.
- The Ultimate constructions features a complete 12mm thick Koroyd Core profiled down from tip to tale and sandwiched between glass fibre. Weight of the core is approximately 70% lighter than standard balsa wood, with no loss in strenght or flex. This completely engineered core solution offers an excetionally light construction, smooth ride and improved dampening.
- The Hybrid constructions combines Koroyd‘s engineered core with wood. Koyord can be found in the board’s critical areas. Centre, tip and tail. Combining Koyord with Nitro’s long lasting wooden core, offers a familiar riding experience but with noticable improved dampening and reduced weight.
