Remember that feeling you had when you started snowboarding? You embraced this sport with such open arms that you just had to open your own store; had to be part of what molded this industry. This was an opportunity that was about freedom of choice and a path less traveled. You picked that untracked line over there or you went as fast as you could down this groomed run. It has all been about choice! That is what drew us all to snowboarding. And that is exactly the foundation on which Signal has been built! This is Signal Snowboards 2013!

What is different for 2013? New ideas, new materials, new technology?

• Through the ETT episodes new ideas and new materials,also new shapes available

Any new models in 2013 collection?

• The Epic is new in the line it will be available in a wavelength and spilt board.Also the Vita comes in wavelength

What is the most excited thing/model in upcoming collection? Why?

• Vita Wavelength for sure that will reach and satisfy a lot of female riders!

Is your 2013 line more freeride or freestyle oriented?

• Freestyle but with the new Epic that’s 100% freeride mixed

Rocker vs. camber? Many people are wondering what is better, what to choose. Do you have any explanation perhaps?

• Depends on your riding skills and terrain…for both is a market.

Most of brands are making some hybrids between rockers and cambers. Will you have something like this for 2013?

• Are you kiddin…we were the first with a hybrid (Omni Wavelength) so yeah we have hybrids!

Any new core materials? Going lighter? Going stronger?

• We make one of the lighthest boards in the indusrtie already,last season we add some carbon on a couple models.

Will we go faster in 2013? Any new technologies with base?

• We have only sintered bases since last year so we’re very fast,we do experimentals with new technologies on bases at the moment.

Any new solutions for better grip? Like new ‘anti ice edges’?

• Also in a experimentel fase…

Last year lots of brands started producing splitboards. Any special reasons? Will there be a splitboard in your 2013 collection?

• For sure the Epic is our Split board.The crazy weather situations with tons of snow begin season in the US and now in Europe make Freeride born again,for those adventurers who like to hike and ride deep POW we made these boards.

Eco friendly is always present when people are talking about snowboarding. Any eco friendly boards in 2013 collection? What is the difference between eco friendly board and a normal one?

• We use eco glassweaves and lay up,and supporting/donate the Flotsam Jetseam project

What makes you different from other brands?

• We make what we like to ride and don’t look at other brands.Innovative,travelling and having fun on the mountains is our mission!
