Casio America, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of pro snowboarder Kazu Kokubo as an official G-Shock athlete through the release of a thrilling film. Kazu’s technical and flawless riding skills are showcased by taking on some of the world’s most remote mountains and perfectly shaped halfpipes.

The journey begins near the Alaskan border in Northern British Columbia, at Last Frontier Heliskiing’s, Bell 2 Lodge. The location is extremely remote and helicopter access is the only way into some of the best terrain in the world. After facing the best Last Frontier had to offer, Kazu continued onto Canada’s most accessible heli-skiing location, Pemberton, British Columbia and end’s his trip in Park City Mountain Resort, Park City, Utah where Kazu currently trains for competitions.

Kazu’s snowboarding is synonymous with explosive style and technicality, stacking results and standing on the podium at the X Games, and the Burton Global Open Series in Europe, New Zealand and Japan including two consecutive US Open of Snowboarding championships. A crowd favorite both in his home country of Japan and abroad, his technical expertise makes him a perfect fit for the G-Shock brand, known for its seamless blend of toughness and technology.

“I have been a fan of G-shock since I was a kid and can’t wait to start working on my first watch design. G-Shock is everything in a watch that I try to have in my snowboarding, toughness, style and technical.” Kazu joins a talented list of action sports athletes on the G-Shock roster.
