Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn – Pure freestyle action!

Massive airtime, a whole bunch of jibbing fun and creative set-ups in three snow parks, plus a gigantic super-pipe and heaps of events from November until March: In the 2012/13 winter season, Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn offers an explosive mix! With its sunny exposition, an ideal connection to chairlifts, and the daily shaping by the motivated crew, Glacier Park, Central Park and Easy Park as well as Railgarden Lechnerberg in the centre of Kaprun once again make for the ultimate playground in Austria. The country’s biggest and best super-pipe can be regarded as its highlight. Adding up to the action is the new cooperation with Nitro Snowboards and Volcom Snowboarding, bringing lots of exciting events to Kitzsteinhorn.
Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn with its three parks and a 160-metre super-pipe offers limitless options for snowboarders to perform their tricks. With an altitude from 2,500 to 2,900 metres, beginners, intermediates and pros find the ideal, snow-sure playground for their freestyle moves. In autumn, they can shred the Glacier Park at 2,900 metres up on the glacier, whereas in the winter, Central Park, Easy Park and the huge super-pipe form the centre of freestyle action at Kitzsteinhorn. Railgarden Lechnerberg in the centre of Kaprun additionallyprovides lots of freestyle fun – the ideal location for relaxing sundown sessions. All parks are maintained daily by the experienced shape crew.

The Glacier Park opens in late October and has four lines for freestyle beginners and advanced. The latter can have fun on the two 10- and 13-metre kickers and on the jib line with down rails, straight rail, tube combo, wall ride and more. The easy lines provide, among other things, two smaller kickers as well as three easy boxes.
When winter comes, the freestyle action on the Kitzsteinhorn relocates some 400 metres further down: Easy Park, Central Park and super-pipe will be gradually opened from December on and are all located near the Sonnenkarbahn. The two parks are characterized by long, creative lines and high kickers. The beginners’ areas are expanded again this season. The highlight is Austria’s biggest super-pipe (160 m long, 6.30 m high), which is again taken care by “Pipe master” Ali Zehentner.

Central Park is the place to be for all intermediates and pros. A medium line, a pro line and a jib line are all ready to be rocked. The medium line includes three jib features and two kickers of 8 and 14 metres. The pro line offers two jib features and two kickers of 18 and 20 metres. The creatively designed jib line weaves all across the park with special features such as A-frame box or wallride.
Freestyle beginners and kids will be happy in the three lines of the Easy Park. The upper jib line presents a stepup special feature and two kickers of 7 and 13 metres for advanced learners. The bottom half, with various rails, tubes, a wall ride and a multi-obstacle are ready to be ripped. In addition, there’s a line with four different boxes and an easy kicker line with three mellow jumps, specifically designed for beginners (2, 4 and 6 metres).
