The Setup for your season
We know what’s good. Trust us. That’s why we chose a complete Head-to-Toe Setup as an example what gear you could ride this season. There is of course a lot more out there, but we are pretty confident that you’ll like, what we present here.

Let’s start at the top – the helmet! We have seen way too many concussions already, so please be smart and protect your brain. It doesn’t have to look like a bowling ball anymore, just take the RED Mutiny as an example! Full Goggle-compatibility, hidden ventilation, low profile design and so many colours, we actually have problems to decide on one!

Whether you like it underneath the helmet, on a mellow day on the mountain or as a stylish accessory in the city – you can never go wrong with a beanie. Especially with a classic style like the Volcom Woolcott Beanie. Clean, simple, classic.

Protect your eyes! Have you ever been on the mountain without Goggles? Most of the time, it just sucks. Tearing eyes, way too bright light from the sun/snow combination and you can’t even glance too often at that cute girl in the lift line without getting caught. Enough of that! With the Blue Tomato x Quiksilver collaboration Goggle BT Q2, you won’t have any of those problems anymore. Full helmet compatibility, a spherical chrome lens, triple compression-molded face foam, …you want to have it all? That goggle is your friend!

The DC Amo 13 Jacket quickly became a team favorite and we can easily understand why. This jacket features everything you need, for a price you can afford, in a style that you’ll like! There are so many variations and so many features, we could write an article only for that jacket. Chose your colourway and get this season started!

A day without gloves sucks. Yes, we already said that about goggles, but seriously, you can’t grab, handdrag or even stand up after a bail without cutting, scratching or freezing your fingers. That’s why we always wear gloves. And if it’s not that cold, you can always use some thinner gloves, like the Oakley Sadplant Gloves! Super grippy palm, synthetic leather and loads of style – what else do you need?

Things you have to pack for your day on the mountain: your board, boots, jacket, goggles, gloves, helmet, … did we miss something? Oh yeah, pants! Don’t even get us started on how much a day on the mountains without your pants would suck, but they are usually big enough, so they don’t get overlooked that easily. But they should also be stylish enough so you don’t get overlooked as easily, and if you want that without spending too much money, we would highly recommend the Burton Cargo Pant. They have everything you need, look überstylish and have specifications that would let you think those pants must cost more than 200 bucks. But they don’t. Chose your colourway (there are quite a few!) and be happy!

Did you pay attention? We reached the actual “hardgoods” section. First stop: boots. Boots have to fit. We can’t stress that enough, if your boots don’t fit, you can have the best gear, but you won’t have fun with aching feet. And do you know who really has some experience with building footwear? Nike. There are only few people that never had Nike shoes, for a good reason! They know their business and when they entered the snowboarding market, they put all their knowledge into building some of the finest boots in existence. Check out the Nike Vapen for example – clean looks, high tech interior and the perfect fit Nike is known for!

A snowboarder’s nightmare: you arrive at the lift station on a perfect blue bird powder day, you want to strap on your board, but – your binding is gone! If you need a new one, better check out those Union bindings. Their team is overflowing with snowboard skill and there must be a reason for that! The Union Force bindings are comfy, durable, fit almost every boot and to round things off, they are quite affordable! There’s absolutely no reason to not get these bindings. Unless you’d rather like to ride without bindings.

Now to the most important thing you’ll need this season. A snowboard. But not just any snowboard. You want a board to do anything and everything. A snowboard that can hold up on the icy walls of a halfpipe or a steep slope, a board that has enough float to take some treeruns in fresh powder, a board that can hold up a frontboard through a downrail and with enough response to hit jumps. Well, we think we found something for you: there is a reason why this board is usually sold out really quick – the Lib Tech Skate Banana is the board to do it all! With a focus on freestyle, this board is a do-it-all board, thanks to Lib Tech’s Bananatraction technology and a sintered base, plus it’s available for small feet, normal feet, big feet, small guys, normal guys, tall guys, even for girls in a narrower shape and smaller sizes! I think you just found your new board.
