Blue Tomato Kings Park at the Hochkönig – officially checked!

With its 1.800 meters, the Blue Tomato Kings Park in Mühlbach am Hochkönig is most likely the longest snowpark of its kind. The British park designer Karl Sanderson and his shape crew have done an outstanding job in the last few weeks in decorating the majority of the 1.800 meter long playground with new obstacles. It was high time for our crew and a bunch of highly motivated snowboarders to check out the park at the Hochkönig.
On December 29th, 2012, we sent out a team of filmmakers and photographers and several riders to the Hochkönig to put the park’s rails, kickers and boxes to the test. The results of the session at the Blue Tomato Kings Park were tons of fun, freestyle action and fresh shots, which we’ve compiled to a Snowboard Clip. For the pics of the shooting, check out the Gallery.

After the session, we took Blue Tomato Team Rider Flo Galler aside and asked him about the day at the Kings Park: „The park is really cool because of its length and the versatile obstacles that you can shred as whim takes you. The mood at the shooting was awesome, the weather was great and the park in perfect shape. That’s how it should be! Unfortunately, it’s not entirely finished yet but it definitely provides great fun already! I’m really thrilled to see the clips of the shooting!”
Filmmaker Lukas Lerperger was also on site and brought along some riders from his current movie project “In Good Faith” to the shooting at the Kings Park: “The Kings Park Shooting was, just like last year, the first QParks Shooting for me and the weather was awesome. The mood was quite jolly on Saturday and I think everybody had a lot of fun that day. I brought a lot of my friends like David Struber, Simon Reichel, Flo Galler & Flo Pötzl and Gerald Fuchs, and numerous other people were there as well. The park is not quite finished yet but it has a lot to offer, especially tons of little features to ride on. I think that several good action shots have resulted from the shooting and the clips will convey a nice insight into the current state of the park and will encourage the viewers to go for a shred themselves.”
